Good Discovery(s) Presents Book-ish: Books that Started a Movement

Be here for our inaugural Book-ish club meeting where we’ll discuss Upton Sinclair’s The Jungle.

Book-ish is an interactive book club delivering WOW experiences, including book discussions, food and beverage offerings, artist appearances, and off-site experiences.

About The Jungle: A Lithuanian immigrant struggles to support his family by working in a dangerous Chicago meatpacking plant in 1906. Author and journalist Upton Sinclair created the muckraking genre with The Jungle, a powerful exposé of the unsafe meat produced in the Chicago stockyards. Public response to The Jungle helped create the U.S. Pure Food and Drug Act.
